Edge hints at when he will officially retire from WWE

Edge was originally forced to retire from professional wrestling in 2011 due to sustaining multiple neck injuries during his WWE Hall of Fame career. But after nine years, “The Rated-R Superstar” has recovered enough that he can return to the ring, making his triumphant return at the 2020 Royal Rumble event. He’s made some excellent matches since then against the likes of Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, but… In a new interview with steven wrestling adventure, The 48-year-old admitted he wouldn’t stay around much longer.

(It won’t be) ten (years), Edge surely won’t be ten (h/t fight). “I doubt it would be five, and it would be before that. I don’t even think it would be three. I don’t know, but I don’t think it would be long. I know the window is small.”

As he thought about his comeback, he said, “When I started feeling happy and attacked for life again, eight years later, nine years later, I started to realize that it was possible to go back and finally get those past three years and try to help the young talent on the cusp of work, he taught them a few things. To do that in the face of a whole new era, to get there with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and those guys that don’t need my help but it’s exciting to get in there with them and try to hang out with them at this point in my life and my career. I know it’s not going to last long and not I only have so much in the tank to be able to do this. I want to get out before you start going, “His tank is going down.” I want to get out while people still have fond memories.”

Edge was at the end of a winning match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38 last weekend, Thanks in large part to the intervention of a new ally in Damien Priest. Reports have surfaced over the past week that Edge is launching a new faction with Rhea Ripley and Tommaso Ciampa as additional members.
